Welcome to Ballinakill National School Website
Ballinakill NS is a coeducational primary school. The school is under the patronage of the Bishop of Kildare and Leighlin. Mainstream teachers provide instruction in multi-class settings.
Ballinakill National School is situated in the beautiful picturesque village of Ballinakill, Co. Laois.
A new school was built and opened in September 1991 which resulted in the closing of the old school consisting of two buildings on either side of Church Street. The oldest of the schools was built in 1887 and is now the Play School. The Infant School which is now the Old School Community Hall was built in 1889.
The present staff consists of 5 teachers.There are 4 mainstream class teachers and one learning support teacher. The school has a part-time secretary and caretaker. The school is a Green school and has three green flags and strives to provide a healthy and green environment for the pupils to learn.
