We were delighted to welcome students from Heywood Community School to our school as part of Seachtain na Gaeilge celebrations. They worked with our 1st and 2nd class pupils, teaching them a variety of traditional Irish dances including the Walls of Limerick, Siege of Ennis, Mo Dhreoilín and many more.
It was a fantastic experience filled with fun, teamwork and collaboration, with plenty of opportunities for everyone to use and enjoy their Irish in a lively and meaningful way. The pupils thoroughly enjoyed learning from the secondary students and it was wonderful to see such positive engagement across the age groups.
We look forward to working with Heywood Community School again in the future on more language and curriculum-based activities.
