First and Second Class got hands-on with nature as they helped install our brand new school wormery! The children took part in a fascinating talk where they learned all about the important role worms play in keeping our environment healthy. They discovered the different types of worms, explored worm anatomy, and found out how composting works. We’re now using our school compost to feed the worms, and in return, the wormery will produce rich nutrients to help our plants grow in the new school polytunnel. It’s a wonderful way to learn about sustainability — with a little help from our wriggly friends!
