Irish Heart Foundation Workshop

15-February-25
Irish Heart Foundation Visit

During the month of January classes from 3rd to 6th took part in the Irish Heart Foundation's, Let's Get Active programme, as a result our school was selected to receive an IHF Workshop visit.

Children were given the opportunity to use their voice to provide feedback on the programme. Together with the facilitators the children discussed what they thought were the benefits of the programme and also provided suggestions for improvements that might be made.

3rd and 4th class took part in walking debates and they then recorded their ideas on posters and in drawings. 5th and 6th class had some guided discussions and their input was recorded by taking part in video interviews. The facilitators sent a message later to say they thought there might be some budding media stars among the group 😊.

Christina and Dinah (the facilitators) were really impresssed by how well the children behaved throughtout all the activities and by how welcome the children made them feel.
